StarCitizen 1.1.0 finally live

After some delay of two weeks the new StarCitizen 1.1.0 (formally ArenaCommander) is now live.

The recommendation is to uninstall and install the whole game for this patch (see here). As far as I understand it, an incremental update from 1.0.3 to 1.1.0 is possible but not recommended. Be warned a new installation might take a while since the game has now roughly 30GB.

There is a long list of changes including:

a flight-ready Gladius
a hangar-ready Retaliator
multiplayer free-flight and landing/docking
Rental Equipment Credits (REC)

Thanks to Beahr creating an event this morning, so I knew about having to patch the game today. So I started my PC at 7 and have now "only" 6h left of downloading patches... :-)

I noticed the new download server architecture RSI bought. This download was 2h less than the one before...

The download was actually awful for me, not sure if my bros here were downloading porn or it was RSI's servers. Took about a full day to finish it in a 30Mbps connection (3Mbps max real)

No, that sounds about right, with your connection (3Mbps) it would take around 20h if you don't use your connection for anything else in that time. They switched their storage to some Amazon-servers know afaik, so there shouldn't be much problems anymore. Took me around 7h with my 10Mbps, and they where used fully most of the time.
